David is not only a dedicated gundog trainer but also a fierce competitor, having recently taken part in the IGL Retriever Championship qualifiers in 2023 and 2024 with his dogs Rumbleton Ginevier and Julval Beauty of Druidsmere. Over the past season, David successfully ran three open qualifying retriever bitches and a novice bitch in trials — each either winning or placing in awards.
