Martin Hopps – Slingley Gundogs

We are delighted to be in association with Martin. We have been supporting his journey for a couple of years now and have really enjoyed watching his channels grow! Martin tests our dummy launcher range and it often seen using our Autolaunch.

My name is Martin Hopps, and I own Slingley Gundogs. I’m based in the North East of England, where I live with my wife and sons. Although I’m relatively new to the gundog world, I’ve quickly grown to love the community, the sport, and the time spent outdoors.

I’m a dog trainer and a five-star licensed breeder. After getting my Labrador, Hunter, in 2018, I went on my first grouse shoot the following year—and that’s when my passion for the sport truly began. My pack soon started to grow and, by 2020, I had added another nine Labradors. That same year, I launched my breeding business, and my social media following began to take off. Four years on, the pack has expanded even further, and I now own eighteen Labradors. With the support of my family, Slingley Gundogs has grown into the successful business it is today.

I really enjoy working with Sporting Saint; the quality of their products is outstanding and plays a huge role in my dogs’ training. My personal favourite is the Auto-Launch Remote Control Dummy Launcher.
