Sportingsaint.co.uk is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) (GDPR) and take all reasonable steps to prevent any unauthorised access to your personal data.

This statement (together with our terms and conditions) outlines how personal information which we collect from you or you supply to us, will be processed by Sporting Saint. 

We reserve the right to amend this privacy statement at any time, any changes will be published on this website.

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) (GDPR), the data controller is Sporting Saint Limited.

1.    Our lawful basis for processing data about you 

It is extremely important to Sporting Saint that we provide a service that meets the expectations of our customers. We will process your data to keep you informed about your order plus to let you know about our news.

To comply with GDPR, Sporting Saint need a "lawful basis" for collecting and using your information, the variety of lawful bases which Sporting Saint rely on are set out in this statement:

 -       Contract: Using your information will be necessary for us to either perform the contract between us or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into the contract

 -       Legal compliance: Using your information will be necessary for Sporting Saint to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation

2. Communicating with you

Sporting Saint operates an "opt in" consent system for marketing information. This provides you with the choice of whether or not you wish to receive marketing information, including newsletters.

If you are a customer who has previously purchased a product (or have shown an interest in buying a product by giving us your personal details), prior to 25th May 2018, Sporting Saint will have provided you with the option to opt-out in our communications with you. If you have not opted-out, Sporting Saint will consider that you consent to receive marketing information from us through ‘soft opt-in’, as per regulation 22 of the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679).

You can "opt in" or “opt out” of receiving marketing information at any time at Sportingsaint.co.uk by logging into your account under ‘update your details’ calling 01885 400343 or emailing info@sportingsaint.co.uk  

You can also unsubscribe from emails via the "unsubscribe" link contained in the email, this will ensure that your name will be removed from the mailing list permanently. 

You can view your information in ‘Your account’ section at sportingsaint.co.uk and you are entitled to ask us to; amend, delete or request a copy of the information we hold about you, by calling 01885 400343 or email info@sportingsaint.co.uk  You will be required to supply appropriate evidence of your identity (usually a photocopy of your passport or driving licence plus an original copy of a utility bill showing your current address).

Marketing communications

Depending on the communication preferences you select in ‘My Account’ or when you place your order over the phone, we may send you marketing communications from Sporting Saint which may include the following:-

3. The information we collect about you

When you place your order we will ask for; First name, surname, invoice address, delivery address, email, telephone number, payment and delivery details, to help us process and deliver your order.

We collect information about our customers via; the website, sign-up forms, over the telephone, server logs, cookies, order forms, and competitions. Your personal information will not be sold or rented to any third party. 

We may collect your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency and pattern of your service use. The data will be anonymous and stored securely within Google’s Analytics web service.

We may also use your data to allow us to show you adverts while you are online that are relevant to you. Sometimes, we will use cookies to do this and you can find out more about this and how to turn off cookies by reading the cookie section in point three of this policy.

Any information collected is kept secure and only used for the purposes set out in this Privacy and Cookie Policy.

Session recording

Our website may also use a website recording service which may record mouse clicks, mouse movements, page scrolling and any text keyed into website forms.

Data collected by this service is used to improve our website usability. The information collected is stored and is used for aggregated and statistical reporting, and is not shared with anyone else.
